Dave and I began the day with a large breakfast at one of Libby’s fine resteraunts, which was a good move as we both set a blistering pace from the start. To be honest I don’t remember much as we raced along completing 175Km in under 9hrs, but along the way we had a break and visited some huge ancient spruce trees.
On arrival in Sandpoint we checked out the Great Western campsite but it was way too expensive for our budget. As we pondered what to do a chap who Dave met a few weeks ago showed up and advised us to stay at an RV park down the road which was free to cyclists.
